Our love of the College Puzzle Challenge inspired us to search for other similar puzzle contests, or sources of similar puzzles. Unfortunately, there were none to be found: other commitments prevented us from participating in Mystery Hunt, and the supply of similar contests disappoints.
Moreover, when you google puzzles, you typically get jigsaws, riddles, brain-teasers, sudoku, crosswords, wordsearches, logic puzzles, or toys like Rush Hour, tangrams, wire-tangles, and whatnot. The closest thing to what we were looking for was notpron, but even that was too riddle-like and usually too digital-tricks oriented instead of digital-research oriented. Plus, its sequential nature has the potential to cause immense frustration, if the solver can’t make the jump on a level and gets stuck.
